Clean Production Agreement (APL)

Concon Maderas Impregnadasis certified as an APL Company by the Clean Production Agreement, which developed over two years with the Timber Corporation (CORMA) and Sodimac. This agreement seeks to improve competitiveness, security, labor conditions and the environment, among other benefits.

The Minister of Economy, Luis Felipe Cespedes, believes these agreements “allow us not only to improve the efficiency of the small and medium enterprises that have been certified, but also to generate a better environment for our country. I think that we’ve achieved this as one of the strengths of the region; the timber industry is one of them and we must keep working in this way.”

The APL certification included the verification of the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG), the Health Service, the Ministry of Environment, and the Sanitation Services Supervision, with which the Clean Production Council certified improved efficiency management of waste produced, thus establishing favorable standards for environmental issues and promoting the productivity and competitiveness of the company.
